How To Pin And Unpin Post On Your Facebook Business Page

A Facebook page is an account for a business, organization, or institution to embark on advertising campaigns to grow their business on this social media platform. Facebook Pages have the same basic functions as Facebook profiles with the added ability to advertise and track performance.

These features include Calls-to Action, Schedule Posts with Similar Page Suggestions, and Manage Sections just to mention a few, all these features help organizations and businesses manage the Facebook presence of their brands for marketing, Public Relations, advertising, and sales purposes.

However one of the most important features is the pinning and unpinning of posts. Pin posts appear at the top of a Facebook page which serves as a reminder to take action on such posts until you unpin it. Even if you publish new posts on the page the pinned post will remain at the top of your feed.

The purpose of this article is to take you through how to pin and unpin post on your Facebook page.

How to Unpin A Post On A Facebook Page

Unpinning a post from your Facebook page involves simple straightforward steps just like pinning a post on your Facebook page.

1. Visit your Facebook page

2. Locate your pinned post which is easy to do so, because it appears at the very top of your page.

3. Click on the three dots at the extreme right corner of the pinned post

4. Select “Unpin post” from the pop-up menu.

5. Your post should be unpinned from the top of your page.

Why Is It Important To Pin Posts?

Pinning a post is a great way to feature an important announcement or highlight some of your best content. Remember people visit your page to seek more information about the latest product or service you are selling or rendering to your customers. However, pinning a post that can provide all this information once a potential customer visits your page will help you avoid wasting potential customers’ time going through all your posts to get the information they want. This also helps you to get the attention of people once they visit your page, and in return helps you grow your business or organization.

NOTE: You can pin a post at a time, which implies that once you pinned a post you can not pin another post in addition. To pin a new post you have to unpin your previous post.
