How to Download And Install The MyNHIS App

Ghana has transformed its healthcare system, particularly in National Health Insurance registration, by embracing digital solutions. The USSD *929# service and the MyNHIS mobile app have revolutionized the process, allowing citizens to register, link their Ghana cards, and renew their insurance. 

The USSD *929# service eliminates the need for lengthy queues and paperwork, allowing citizens to navigate the healthcare landscape at their own convenience. 

In a bid to streamline and simplify the process of registering, linking Ghana cards to National Health Insurance (NHIS), and renewing policies, the Ghanaian government has embraced digital innovation, bringing forth an app named MyNHIS designed for both Android and iOS platforms. Gone are the days of enduring long queues and tedious paperwork; now Ghanaians can easily manage their health insurance with just a few taps on their smartphones.

To link your Ghana card to your NHIS (National Health Insurance Schemes), you must first download and install the MyNHIS app.

How To Download And Install MyNHIS App.

  1. Go to the Play Store or Apple Store and download the app
  2. Open the app on your device and proceed to new user.
  3. Fill in the required details
  4. Tick the “I Agree to MyNHIS app’s terms & privacy policy” box.
  5. Tap on the continue button.
  6. Enter the OTP sent to your device.

How Do I Get Access To MyNHIS Dashboard? 

To have access to the MyNHIS dashboard the required information or details include;

  1. Surname
  2. First Names
  3. Date of Birth
  4. Personal ID Number or Ghana Card Number
  5. Document Number.

How to register for NHIS with myNHIS App

  1. Navigate to create a new profile

2. Fill in the required details

3. Tap on the “Next” button at the bottom-right corner

4. Select the nearest NHIS office in your area.

5. Tap on “Next” to verify

6. Preview and navigate to “Done”.

7. After successfully creating your profile with your Ghana card go to the Homepage and tab on “Link Cards”

8. Enter your NHIS member number and proceed to next.

9. You will receive a pop-up message stating “Congrats. Your Ghana Card and NHIS Membership are Linked”.

How to Renew Your NHIS using the MyNHIS app

  1. Navigate to the dashboard scroll down and tap on “Renew”

2. Click on Next.

3. At the Membership Renewal page, select “Renew for myself

NOTE If you’re unable to select “Renew for myself”, then select “Renew for another person” then enter your Ghana Card Number and your Phone Number.

  1. Click on the  “Next” button.
  2. The next page displays details such as renewal duration, payment amount, and coverage provided by the insurance.
  3. Verify if every detail is correct then click on “PAY NOW”.

7. You’ll be redirected to a Payment Page.

8. Select your preferred payment method.

9. Enter your details and click on “PAY”
