How to delete Instagram conversations on iPhone and Android

Open your Instagram app and head to messages, by tapping the messenger icon.
Select the chats& conversations you want to remove permanently from your DMs.
Tap delete and confirm to complete removing messages from your chat.

Note: Because messages have already been viewed by the other person, deleting conversations will not remove the messages from the other person’s messages.

How to delete an Instagram message on iPhone

If you sent a message to someone and you want to delete it from both sides on Instagram, you can do that by using the “Unsend” option on your iPhone. This will delete for everyone permanently.

Open your Instagram app and go to the message you want to delete.
Press and hold the message you want to delete
A popup menu should appear, tap unsend to delete it.

Kindly note: that “unsending” a message on Instagram will delete it for everyone.
