When it comes to entrepreneurship, women almost always have to prove themselves. This Netflix Drama series, Self Made, tells the true tale of Madam C.J. Walker, a formidable woman who overcame all difficulties to see her goal realized.

We took a handful of the lessons from this series and thought we’d share them with you;

💞Our troubles can sometimes point us in the direction of our goals. It’s difficult to accept obstacles, but perhaps if we look a little closer, there will be plenty of opportunities to seize.

💞Don’t get discouraged if people reject you. She had hoped to assist the woman who had assisted her with her hair in selling her products, but she had been turned down. That didn’t stop her from pursuing her ambitions, and she went on to create her own company. Unless we do, our dreams will not come true.

💞There is always that one individual who has more faith in us than we have in ourselves. Madam C.J. discovered it in Ransom! We imagine he would even lay down his life for Madam C.J. because he believed in her so much! May God lead you to the one person who can help you, like Ransom!

💞In our adventures, we will constantly have to make sacrifices. Madam C.J. was forced to divorce her husband after he betrayed her! Could it be said that she was more concerned with her business than with her husband? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

💞Finally, be your own biggest supporter! Madam C.J. Walker wasn’t perfect, but she was bold and believed in herself. We’re still working on it. Remember, if you wait until you’re perfect, you might as well wait forever. If you’re enthusiastic about something, give it everything you’ve got.
